Found these guys as 2nds in pet battles all around the temple. Never saw a single wasp flying as the main pet. I caught three rares in about an hour of fighting everything I came across. Sorry but I didn't take coordinence. 1st rare was w/a jumping spider, 2nd a grove viper & 3rd with a temple snake in the Jade Temple. All three were level 25. I feel I got super lucky.

Caught a rare after three hours of farming the temple snakes on the temple grounds. These little guys respawn quickly so you may have better luck getting a rare. The largest perk to farming for these is there are Dark Soil patches where you can get blue gifts for Tiller's rep. Many perks to farming these cute snakes.

After two + weeks of trying, very few in the Coldarra each check, I farmed and finally got a rare at 26.8, 35.6 today 1/9/12. Killing the dragonkin in the area definitely increases whelpling spawn rates. Great way to level mining to! :)

After many many many hours spent around Karazan not one little eye. Finally gave up after about 5 hours. Yep. 5 hours. Not one little eye. Checked comments here but alas the eyes chose to stay hidden. I was alone the whole five hours to so no one came along and caught them. Other battle pet hunters be mindful that these little guys may never show themselves. 

These little guys spawned at 00:08 pacific time. Only 10 spawned with 0 respawns. I checked back multiple times (05:58 & 07:58 mainly) and waiting around. No mass spawn at those times either. Whatever server I was on there was one spawn at 12:08 AM then nothing. I stayed logged in @ the cellar till 02:58 AM without one respawn in either cellar. I was alone all throughout. :( Blizzard isn't making these easy. 9 poor quality 1 common. 

Same exp for me as Shankazulu. Sandstorm started & I saw 3. Dropped & entered battle w/1. Accidently killed it & left battle. The 2 remaining disappeared! Sandstorm lasted almost 2 hrs w/0 respawns. Reported by horde & alliance. Ticket sub to Blizz. Its a bug & they're aware. Many many tickets already submitted. Be patient fellow hunters. I have SS's of convo with GM.

After testing, killing just Witchwing Windcallers DID increase respawn of young. Area wasn't full of them but better then zero. Tested for 4 hours. 2 hrs killing windcallers & 2 hrs killing nothing. Alone in the area to. Hope this helps others.

I tested the giraffe killing method for several hours last night (after 12 am server) & it worked. I killed EVERY giraffe I came across. Dusthoof & Barrens. I never saw a calf spawn with Dusthoof. I encountered 5 calves. They were all in the upper corners of the zone spawning at 10-20 min apart. 2 uncommon & 3 poor quality. I did not kill anything else or battle anything. Just killed every giraffe. Hope this helps others.
