Got mine, common, but who cares at this point!
Kirin Tor server, 8:27 p.m. server time, it was raining -- in case that helps anyone. =)
One of the reasons these are hard to find as the primary is, as Crittergeek said, the hawks will swoop down and kill them. So you gotta be quick.
After getting a bit frustrated, came to check the notes. Spyone1 had some good information that I used. Instead of checking the battlepets that weren't warpstalkers I just killed them to force respawns. When I did engage a warpstalker, I would kill it if it wasn't the rare I wanted. Lastly, since they can phase in and out, I went through the area on my land mount so I was more likely to see them phasing. Got mine at 49,32, between Stonebreak and Tuureem.
I farmed gazelle fawns for more than an hour tonight. I lost count after 70 fights, but finally got a rare around 54,40 (NW of the mine).
Only available a short period each Sunday, not the entire 2-hour window; 9:00 to 9:23 p.m. and 11:00 to 11:23 p.m. Pacific (11:00 to 11:23 p.m. and 1:00 to 1:23 a.m., Kirin Tor-US). They spawn about a minute or so after the Pandas show up. Have been to numerous festivals (still looking for a rare) and 5 is the most I've seen spawn at once, though usually only 3-4.
Got this little one today at 10:52 a.m. server time (Eastern). I found some on an Oceanic server between 9-10 a.m. server time, but was unable to get to them w/o a flying mount. So took at chance on my home realm (Shandris US) around the same time and got totally lucky. =D
Farmed right around the Camp Taurajo ruins for nearly 2 hours; killed and skinned everything, cleared out battle pets in the area, etc. I was just about to give up to go try my hand at getting the harpy youngling and here she came around the hill. =D I was so thrilled I almost screwed up the capture! It was right around 1am server time. Definitely make sure you've got the right level pets ready because you don't want to hesitate to start the battle and possibly lose out to another player.
