Not a PET, but I inadvertantly solved the Scepter of Asj'aqir in my Archaeology without even realizing it the other day ... I seriously thought I was solving the (useless) scimitar. Woo, bug mount!
Pet news...? Um, well, I found a Minfernal last month... crazy! It was after a tough day leveling alts in some not very fantastic dungeon groups, so I think it appeared for me as karma and now has been named as such.
Time to finish up my safari achievement collections! I'll get back to fighting tamers when they make those accuracy changes in 5.3...
