The wow gods smiled on me and I finally fished up a sewer rat (several hundred casts); so I then returned to catching my fox kit and caught him in the same hour. I am running down the shops to buy a lotto ticket! Around 550 kills in total for the fox kit.

As of 4.0.6 it dropped for me in normal mode on my 34th run. My husband who is not a pet collector ran the instance for the boss kill achievement and it dropped his first run.

Mine dropped in a hidden stash from a mob in Tyr's hand. Any hidden stash will do.Was not farming at all,,,,around my 10th bag. The blizzard luck gods were smiling on me today.

The snakes spawn most next to the hills, found 6 spawns following the mountain range between binan village and shado pan fall back. I thought about this having found a similar trick for catching the rat snake in Duskwood. The 'rat snake' spawns close to the hiils too.
