Got mine! (5:30 server) It was poor quality for a moment but one of my nine undead stones took care of that. Location: Grizzly Hills @ 61,18 ... there is a large flat rock there and at the time a non-pet mountain skunk.  I marked it and kept checking back ... and after about 2 hours there she was.  I forgot to see if the skunk was still there too, to busy SQUEEING.

Rares are now in the game :)  (Prior they were only available in uncommon)

Finally started spawning on whatever server Icecrown shares around noon that server time, 3rd one was a rare.  Glad to have that one done, CRZ is dumb!

Some oddities I noticed while camping for my rare.  I was killing the non-battle Snowshoe Hares and once as I went to wand one, it turned to a battle pet.  I assumed I had mistaken it.  Then it happened 4 more times.  So don’t be too quick to off the little guys.  Also if you do not kill the critter snowshoe rabbits they despawn within 60 seconds (Not sure about the battle ones, I never wait to see!).  I do play on a CRZ server so that may be messing with me.

When I arrived there were 20+ snails, my cat accidently ate the only rare I found, now 15 minutes later and nothing has respawned.  Very long respawn timer for sure.

I only saw one stand alone Infected Fawn in Silverpine, however if you battle any level 5 in Silverpine they have an add, and had 1/2 dozen infected fawns join in (though not a rare one yet)

Never saw these stand alone in Silverpine forest but if you battle any level 5 in Silverpine they have an add, got quite a few Infected Squirrels that way.

These are going to be my White Whale it seems, had an uncommon one but my turrets killed it after my trap missed.  I also spent 3 hours killing the same herd of gazelles (every 7 minutes) and they were nothing but gazelles from noon to 3pm server. So if they are indeed tied to giraffes they even have very very low spawn rate or something more to it.  Wish blizzard would make the Giraffe Calf one of the adds you get when battling others in Southern Barren. 

These little guys spawn with their mommas so people taking the cub but leaving the momma makes respawn a long time (But not impossible) So I took to killing every cheetah I found.  Took about 40 cubs but finally got a rare one.

Spent the last few weeks farming this for a friend (I already had one), used the instant respawning spot ... 8000 wool cloth later, I finally got it for him. Anyone need a zillion gaudy Christmas Sweaters? I killed each group (there are 3) about 20 times before I looted ... love the AOE loot!

This nest seems to always be up in the same location, I have been searching for the Crimson Whelp, and camp in and out at the nest spawn point, getting 2-4 eggs a day. Not sure I can give them away at this point, just can't resist clicking the egg.

Killed him this morning on Icecrown, first time I've ever put a raid together by spamming trade/general. First couple of attempts he reset, so we moved into the cave as far back as we could go and those he feared out came back. Took awhile because we missed so much 15,000 was top DPS. Really don't like only one person gets the pet, after a battle like that everyone deserved one!
