The drop rate is indeed 1 in 10,000 for these zone-wide pets. Farming it takes quite a bit of luck. I tried for a while and ended up getting another dark whelpling. I sold that for 5k, and then offered the 5k to somebody that had a crimson whelpling drop for them. They jumped on the offer, which was fine with me considering the crimson version is TEN TIMES more rare than the dark whelpling.

After reading the horror stories and the realization that it might be a 1-in-10,000 drop, I decided to just outright purchase the pet from somebody else for 10k gold. I can rack that a hell of a lot faster than hopelessly wasting time trying to farm the pet up directly. I had even tried by doing some achieves in Winterspring and killed over 1,000 mobs in the process, but no luck on the pet. Just buying it was far less painful.

I love the bone retrieval ability. A friend died to the elevator boss last night in raid, and this little fella fetched a bone from them while I pointed and laughed!

I do think it's strange this is currently the rarest pet of the entire list. It's not THAT hard to get!

RNG can be so cruel sometimes. While it took me 917 kills to drop one, my brother logs in and picks it up in barely over 100 kills. ><

759 kills it took me. I'm thinking the drop rate is 1 in 1000 for this guy. Ironically I got a world epic off a random mob I accidentally aggrod while farming these foxes. Made an extra 4k off that.

After getting the 'Hex Mix' achieve, I then collected another 14 sticks and it took 12 of them for Mojo to show up. Not much pain involved with getting this one.

The drop rate needs to be updated to 1 in 4. The bag will randomly choose one of the 4 pets each time, and only comes up empty when it picks a croc pet you already have.

I don't believe the drop rate was changed as it took me about ten hours of fishing before Pinchy finally came up. The first wish granted me the pet, so I was relieved to be done with it.
