P/P is typically the breed you want for an Emerald Proto-Whelp. When I was looking for mine, I couldn't find any in the wild after days of searching. The AddOn just wasn't showing any P/P in combat. Eventually, I just started catching them to see what would happen and what appeared to be P/B in battle through the AddOn I was using turned out to be P/P in my Pet Journal. I've had this happen for a number of pets, such as Kun-Lai Runt. Hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

This is one of the easiest and cheapest pets to obtain in WoW and a very solid beginner pet. If you don't have a lot of gold and you're brand new to pet battles and have no idea where to start, try going with a Cornish Rex Cat. It has a decent moveset for low level wild pet fights and its stats are better than the other easily obtained cats.

Re: Hogs

I thought it would be annoying from the sound of it, but it was really easy. Use a character with a movement speed buff.
