It showed up when I was battling a level 5 critter in azshara it had to be level 5 or there won't be a second critter.

One that I have seen spawn multiple times is right outside crossroads by the tree with the cheetahs around it.

I got mine by battling the toads and snakes in Dustwallow Marsh, they come as the second pet to battle so you won't see it as the actual critter to click on for a battle.

I found mine just a little bit south of fort triumph. It was really close to the graveyard outside the fort. It was with two barrens giraffes. Good luck.

I farmed for about an hour in Hillsbrad, the gnolls, they have a great respawn rate.
