If you have run out of Celfhoof runts (like I did rare farming) they appear to respawn when the full sized mobs respawn.

So if you can't find any try killing the adults. This seems to be the case with other battle pets I've farmed for rares as well.

I believe this a linked to the adult bears for sure. I saw them spawn in front of me with the adult repops

They spawn occasionally when new adult bears spawn (following them around).

Kill any adult bear you see without the cub and the next one that that spawns could have it!!

From each mass kill of all the bears I got at least 1 cub spawn. It just took many cubs to get my rare!

I found my Giraffe Calf with a group of giraffes, just to the south of the Ruins of Taurajo.

I saw one back in the pre-patch to the northeast of Vendetta Point (near the skeleton which is a common fossil dig site).

I found them in the Master's Cellar. There were quite a few there at 12:15am. I fortunately got the rare version on my second catch.

I found one near Sporeggar at 7:15pm. It wasn't raining.

It took me about 620 line casts, so for those who don't get it in under 50 hang in there!
