My suggestion is to just fight all battlepets you find in Twilight Highlands and get the rare as a secondary rather than trying to find primary spawns of these. They are hard to come by and in difficult locations and sometimes in locations subject to phasing issues. I found mine secondary to a twilight spider.

Follow Gwenolyns post in the Cradle of ancients, Uldum on a toon that has not completed the zone and you will save a lot of time rare farming. I also killed off any sets of 3 critters/battle pets that were not the horned lizard to promote more spawns and had 6 sets up to circle around. Being a phased area you also find noone else around as most cannot see pets in this area.

I paid 35K for mine after obtaining a loan from my husband. I am on one of those servers where I will probably never see a raid for this rabbit so saving up gold for it is really the way to go. Now time to go do some dailies to pay off my debt!

Originally I started killing just critters for hours on my server which is highly camped and I saw no spawns. I caught mine about 15 minutes after I killed immolotus, however I personally dont think they are related. I found a spawn on an oceanic pvp server with low population during my time off work, on a DK I made specifically to try get this.

Thank you to the horde DK who did not try kill me while I was searching earlier, we were both 58 so both there for the same reason I would say.
