Took about 2 hours of flying around to find it ... tip, just kill all battle pets and keep flying around til you find it. 

If you're Horde, it is so worth rolling a gnome on a low pop server just to get this ... plus you can get a snow cub too on your way to Toxic Airfield!

Is there a schedule of when it snows in Storm Peaks? I have been camped out for days just farming stuff while I hunt for this Fox ... and it has never, ever snowed.  Why is this place covered with snow but it never snows? 

Just got really luck, have been hunting for this Whelp for weeks.  I just popped up right in front of me while I was bored and killing NPCs! Happened just now at 10:00am server time. 

OK, maybe times have something to do with it ... as soon as I trapped this one (which was a poor), several more spawned all around me.  I ended up battleing 4 and collected an uncommon.  This all occurred between 10:00am and 10:20am CST, server time.  There was no restart.

Had been hunting this critter for days and days.  I just happened to be flying over Scalewing and litterally, 4 popped up on the map right below me.  This happened exactly at 4pm ... odd.  So, I was able to snag 2 uncommons.  I flew around for another hour and never saw any more spawn. 

Just got really lucky, first one was uncommon, the next a rare! Just got towards the coast straight out of Sanctum of the Moon. Easy find!

Just got an Uncommon at 27,32 in Dry Hills ... waited 45 minutes and this uncommon was the very first to spawn during that time.

Was not that hard to get one, I just hung out in the area while doing some low level quests ... after hanging out for a few days, I got uncommons and my first rare yesterday! Now ready to level it up quickly!

I've killed many, many of these and have never found one to be a higher level than "common" ... I will just keep hunting until I get a rare ... at this point, I would even settle for an "uncommon".
