@Weizen - Go with Candygram. Love the reference, btw. :-)

@Bwana: You deserve the props. :-)  Thanks again for your suggestions and for explaining them so well in our forums.

@Mystical: We've re-toggled the Sky Lantern as a manual add. You can add it to your collection manually underneath the import button.

@Mykro9: Yes, pet rarity still accounts for more of your score than anything else. But leveling your pets will also give your score more of a boost now. With the new formula, each level 25 pet adds 1 point to your score.

We're aware of a bug where Murkalot is not showing up for our EU members as "collected."  This is a result of a bug in the official EU WoW Armory.  It’s not something we can easily fix on our end.  Until it’s corrected on Blizzard’s end, there’s little we can do. :-/

If you're one of the collectors affected by this bug, bring it up on the official WoW forums for your region.  If enough people are vocal about it, Blizzard might address it that much sooner.

@Maorae: Thanks for letting us know. I've updated the Grell's sound and idle animation info.

We've updated the drop rate to 1 in 100 --scratch that-- 1 in 250 based on the feedback we're getting. We'll see if that holds after a week of data.

Wow.

We've had pet commenting for over a year and no one has ever commented on this pet. Poor lil' guy.

I still <3 you, Tree Frog.

@Alein: Pet rarities are based on the number of WarcraftPets users who have collected a given pet. Since we just added this one to the site yesterday, it came up as ultra-rare. But I agree, that's confusing so I manually changed it to uncommon. We'll see what the stats say in a week or two and we'll update it again.

Looks like Murkimus is back for the 2010 Arena Tournament. I'm assuming they will keep him in rotation for years to come, so I have updated his profile accordingly. At least this gives everyone who missed him last year a chance to get him this year. Happy PvP'ing!

Remember everyone -- just because most of us are unable to get this pet doesn't mean we shouldn't be happy for those who are. Players in Taiwan are unable to get many of the pets we take for granted.

Note that half of the proceeds of every Pandaren Monk purchased through December 31, 2009 will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. I'm very happy to see Blizzard doing something worthwhile with the money earned from these new store-bought pets.

Re: Pengu
I agree -- Pengu's eyes should remain red so that he continues to be unique (and evil). Instead of posting your distaste for this change here, I urge you to add your support to the suggestion thread on the official WoW forums. If enough people post, they may yet change our beloved little Pengu back to his demonic self.

UPDATE: Kinda sad to see a blue-eyed Pengu after the launch of 3.3. :-(

I know many of you are upset about pets that are limited to certain regions, like this one. While I understand your frustration, please try to keep your comments regarding this pet constructive. Telling everyone that you think its unfair that you can't get it or degrading another country is not helpful to anyone. Thanks!

If you still haven't got Mr. Chilly, try the following:

- Log in on EU/US Battle.net
- Change your password
- Relog onto WoW
- Receive Mr. Chilly

A GM suggested these steps to Aldun, one of our members, and he confirmed that it works. Apparently doing this refreshes your account details and "checks" if you received the penguin.

@Xau: I believe it used to sing, hence our removal of that info from this pet's profile. From what I recall, they removed it in patch 3.2 because it was an unintended bug. I know I haven't heard this or any of the other Mysterious Egg-hatched pets sing since 3.1.

As if the pet profile above wasn't enough to clue you in, this pet is sold by me! Or rather, by my Breanni NPC tribute in Dalaran. I just wish my Breanni character saw a bit of the profits...

This is one of my favorite pets. It's old-school, I know. No flashy animations. No sound. No special effects. Just a pretty kitty whose colors remind me of my own Persian himmy.

Oh, and the "Breanni Says" above is based on real events - no joke, lol.

I know I'm psyched to start collecting these "real life" vanity pets! I'm really curious to see how they handle flying pets in future sets.

UPDATE: I just received my FigurePets and they look great! If you're on the fence about getting one, I think you will be very pleased with what you get. They are wonderful display pieces for any die-hard pet collector.
