Just checked after the maintenance today, tons of these guys up, took five of 'em to get a rare one.

Seems to be fairly common. I got mine within 15 casts, I believe, and I've seen quite a few other people running around with it.

I have been fishing for this pet since wotlk was released. A depressing amount of casts later and now into cataclysm, I do not believe it exists.
