Found 6-8 just wandering around unmolested in the Savage Thicket (near 45, 25). 

 

WARNING: Very resilient if they have both Emerald Dream & Ancient Blessing ready, keep a humanoid or undead pet at the ready unless you want to spend all day on one battle, lol.

Found an uncommon first meeting, around 12:20pm server time in the Dry Hills (near 24, 33).  Groovy pet!

Got mine in Searing Gorge in a lava pool (at 36, 77) around 11:00am (server time.  Lucked out, rare first time.  Why is it some pet's "rare"s are so much rarer than others?  I've been farming 3 other area pets and can find them by the dozens but only as poor, but first hatchling I find and I'm done… back to farming I guess.

Very frustrating lil beggar to catch!  Seen 3 over several servers over 24 hours.  2 poor (separate spawns at 40, 60) & 1 uncommon (at 33, 49).  Good luck, I'm settling for my uncommon and hunting something else!

Got one at 53, 31 @ 1014 server time.  Plenty of them to be had in the tilled fields with the Harvester mobs.

Found mine at 0900 server time, so I'm not so sure about that "Night time" designation.  It was teamed up behind a Black Rat at 78, 33.

First of these I met was as an add to a Blighted Squirrel at the Battlefront in Silverpine Forest.  It was also a rare.  :D  "Next!  Moving on…"
