There are tons of these in the southeast corner of the map, particularly by the tent at the Sea of Cinders.

Re: Snowshoe Hare

For me, there weren't any battle pets around Slaughter Hollow at all. None. And killing the ones at Strahnbrad did not bring up any secondary Snowshoe Hares either. It was about 10-11PM on a Sunday.
