Don't quote me on this but I sat looking for this spawn for several hours late at night several days in a row, the first night I killed infernals in the area, including the named quest mob, and it did not help the spawns at all. Today I tried killing both the infernals and killing other battlepets in the zone, then proceeded to fly back and check the spawns, 5 tainted rats spawned around the infernal area, which I proceeded to kill, and a few minutes later a Minfernal spawned!
