Just saw one of these for the first time on AH for 10k.  Decided to pull the trigger and buy it up.  Now I have my All-Eye Squadron, with my Arcane Eye, and the Darkmoon Eye I finally won yesterday after doing the daily since September.  Happy days...

Went by Coldarra about a week ago and couldn't find any spawns.  Went back today.  Spotted one, turned out to be Poor, and I accidently two-shot it.  The next one I found was a Rare :)  I do think its strange that this pet isn't counted as part of the Northrend Safari acheivement

I just realized I didn't have one of these, so I flew down to Tranquillen, and started riding around to the spawn points, but wasn't finding any.  I rode past the Dawnstar Spire, then swam across the lake.  I got to Goldenmist Village where I finally saw a spawn, and it turned out to be a level 5 rare.  Quickly captured it, and killed the Snake that was with it.  This one is my 350th unique pet :)

Such a nuisance, I've probably fought 200 of these things before coming across my first rare, and my damn pet critted it on the 2nd hit and killed it.  I'll probably not see another rare for 200 more battles.  My only consolation is finding a rare Crimson Moth two fights later

[edit] I was afraid of killing the moth, so 2nd team I sent to fight it wound up being to weak, and they lost.  8 fights later, I found another rare Polly and caught this one, after it killed my Mr. Grubbs

I got a rare on the 5th fight.  Pretty glad too, since I did this on my BElf mage and it's a real pain to get out to Bloodmyst for a Horde, so I didn't want to have to go back there again.

I just snagged mine while I was flying through Dustwallow to do some Archeology leveling on my DK.  I stopped off in the area, and after about 20 seconds, I saw Dart run past.  I checked a couple nests and found his on the third one.  Now back to Un'Goro to try for the Ravasaur...

Love having him for the cooking part, and he's fun to have hanging around my goblin rogue because they're the same size.  It's been a pain to level him, but he's really paid off this month for the darkmoon pet battle.  Flamethrower, followed up with Conflagrate, absolutely destroys the Tonk.  Leveled him from 21 to 23 just from those last two fights :)

I decided to upgrade my Blighthawk on my way back from EPL.  I've spent about 30 minutes already just flying around and engaging every pet I see.  Only found one on the map, one was poor, the second common.  Every single other one I've seen has been poor quality, and I'm saying that's about 50 of them so far...

Update, the magic of the post worked :) Very next pet had a rare with it, woot! Accidentally killed it using Swarm, but caught it first try once it rezzed

I'm so pumped I just won my own.  I was pretty dejected after losing out on my last attempt with a 93 roll and the winner rolled a 94.  This time I won with only an 84 roll, go figure. So awesome to finally have him :) 

He's going to be my favorite critter pet, no doubt

Thanks for the down-vote.  I power-leveled him, and even at 13 he was able to go up against lvl 23 roaches.  Once his speed is comparable to the opponent, use Dodge, and keep the DoT up :)

I wanted this guy as soon as I first fought him.  I only had one level 25 Ony whelping, a lvl 21 Sinister Squashling and a level 17 Clockwork Rocket Bot.    I got two wins out of about 30 attempts, while also leveling the squashling up to 24 and the CRB up to 21 just to make it more competitive.  Sadly, my 2nd win came on the last day of the faire.  I'm hoping that I'll get him to drop next month.  In the meantime, I'm leveling up my Arcane Eye as a poor substitute...

I just saw one of these on the AH for 30G.  Immediate buyout...

I would have expected it to be several hundred gold, but I'm sure not complaining :)

I decided to start farming this on my hunter since I was in Zul'Drak and wanted to see if there were any other cool pets to get.  I killed about 30 raptor, then had to leave to do something else.  A couple days later I had to come back with my shammy to get herbs, and I decided to take another shot at it.  I did about 2 hours of killing all the raptors I saw, and it just dropped on about my 200th kill of the day.  Very excited to have this guy to go along with my Lashtail.  Wouldn't sell it for 10k... :)

Took me 4 days to get myself a rare.  I checked the cellar today and there were about 7 spawns.  Mostly uncommons, but the last one on my way back out to the entrance was the rare. Glad to have this one done with.

I had to have this guy once they introduced pet battles, so I dropped the $10, and annoyingly, no more than 3 days later, Blizz did a half off promotion for him :(

I'm disappointed that his Life Siphon doesn't scale very well as you level.  At 20, it only returns about 50-80 HP per round, which doesn't do much of anything when you are getting hit for at least 150 HP by pretty much any pet around the same level.  If it gave back 15-20% health, I think he'd be more effective.

I got a rare of these the first time I saw one.  I've been using him as my primary beast while I'm leveling my Lashtail Hatchling.  He can really deliver some punishment, and has lots of HP to weather some hits, which is important as he has no ability to heal himself during battle.  It's too bad he doesn't have Devour, since that would really enhance his survivability during fights, but that might make him to OP.

I was starting to believe these things don't actually have a rare version.  I've been challenging every wild pet in Winterspring for about 3 hours, and I've found a rare of everything else except the Robo-Chick.  I've seen about 10 uncommons, probably 30 commons, and 40 poors.  Guess I'll have to keep grinding.

There's one of these that spawns inside Everlook behind the inn, but I've never been able to fight it because I always get the error, "Pet battle area is obstructed"

I got this drop on my 2nd run through MC after it was added.  I actually got all three drops in the same run, so I was pretty stoked about that.

So personally, my drop rate for this guy is 50%.  I see people posting these rares on the AH for 3-10K.  I wouldn't sell any of them though.  Too cool to have :)

It took me about 40 fights to find my first rare of these.  They respawn almost as soon as you've taken one out, so you almost don't even need to go from farm to farm to find fresh ones.  I'm just glad to be done with hunting for this particular rare anymore

Well, I have been waiting for a sandstorm for 2 days now.  And one just popped up.  I booked it over to the Noxious Liar, found a hatchling and bam, first one was a rare :)

I was flying in to do an AQ40 run and saw one of these guys in front to the entrance.  Clicked on him too start the battle and lo and behold he was a rare.  Pretty easy capture :)

And yes, both sidewinders I've battled so far fought alone.  They must think they're just too tough for backup...

I went over to pick one of these guys up.  There were 3 spawned when I got there, all poor quality.  I got an uncommon on the 5th try.  Took me another 12 fights over the next few hours before I found my first rare.  I shall name him Agamotto...
