This appears to be the low level pre-requisite quests for it to open up for Horde:

The defense of grom'gol: raptor risk
which opens:
Just Hatched
Think She's Hungry

During the quest Hunt for Yenniku
Raptor gives you quest:
Favored Skull
A nose for this sort of thing
Followed by this chain:
Whose a big troll?
Skullsplitter Mojo
Speaking with Nezzliok

Saving Yenniku

Quest is still available for the schematic for Engineers. Starts with Lilith the Lithe the quest is called Hammer Time, Rubble Trouble ending with Boulder Delivery. At this time the quests with Umi Rumplesnicker open up.
Are We There, Yeti?, The Perfect Horns ending with Yetiphobia (the quest has changed where you only have to scare one goblin in the camp) which rewards Mechanical Yeti. If are an engineer a new quest pops up that teaches you the schematic. Happy pet collecting!

I got this today. And someone gave him a pet biscuit and he was a large as me. Got lots of comments after that. When you bring him out he says "I'm ready to play!" Wish he said it more than that. Aside from the he just seems to stand there. Cool to look at but no other fun features.
