So far I have found two of them (Poor and Uncommon), and both times they just suddenly spawned underneath me. I would say it probably took me 7-10 days of camping to find these two. I really want that rare one, but they take so long to pop up that I think I will just give up for now and wait for the upgrade stones in 5.1.
