I believe the WoW gods are telling me I should've picked the water pandaren spirit pet as my reward for that quest... spent quite a bit of time agonizing over whether to get the air or water one, and finally decided to pick the air. After about a week or so I had the fire and earth, but still no water. Then, just the other day, I got ALL of them, except the water. In ONE DAY. Seriously, what are the chances of that? And on a related note, what are the chances of getting three sunfur pandas, three mountain pandas, and no snowy pandas? And theres not even someone whose willing to trade pandas. Surely if ive gotten extra sunfur and mountain pandas, there would be someone with an extra snowy? Apparently not >.<

So today I did a lot of summoning and dismissing this pet, and it seems that right now all five of the ones I have appear blue-grey when learned in my journal (I was putting several in cages and such), but can all be summoned in pink as well as blue-grey. You just may have to summon a few times to get it to show up in pink.
I found mine just a little north of the Shattarath City flightpath, at a spot that I don't think has been listed as a spawn point yet. Like others have said, using a targeting macro helps.
Logged on today at around 9:25 central time and finaly found one! There were actually two that spawned, a common one flying around up near the repair vendor at the tower and an uncommon down below among the mushrooms and spore creatures. No rares but I had a stone waiting to be used. I think it was raining at the time but looking at other comments that does not seem to be a factor.
After several weeks of doing all the Pandaria dailes almost every single day, plus the non Pandaria ones more irregularlly, this adorable little pet dropped from the bag I recieved from Hyuna of the Shrines. :)
Also, I think I would be the idiot who would try to pet this little porcupine, regardless of the fact that I had been specifically warned not to. :)
Just caught mine, she was right about in the middle of the Coast of Echoes in Borean Tundra (sorry I don't have coordinates) at exactly 2:30 server time. Two emerald bites from my emerald proto was enough to get her down to capturable health. I was just about to give up hope of finding one, having speant the last couple of hours flying over every inch of Northrend starting from the Howling Fjord, but she is totally worth it!!! :D
Found my rare tonight around 11:15pm server time, after around 20 minutes or so of battling. Took a while of me flying around it's marker on my minimap before I figured out that it was spawned inside a tree lol :) Had to /target it. Didn't see any as secondaries, but I think I've seen them as secondaries before.
I guess I got lucky, found a rare on my third try :) Was in the Drygulch Ravine, around 4:00 server time.
Found lots along the beach and Ruuzel's Isle... ended up catching 3 poor, 1 common, 5 uncommon, and finally a rare :)
oh and this was around 3:30 server time
I spent hours over several days farming this one, decided to kill the noxious whelps for the extra chance to get an emerald whelpling. After getting no less than SIX emeralds, i finally gave up and checked the AH. There were several for 950 gold, so I bought one :) This was pretty soon after MoP though, now the price is back up pretty high.
After weeks of farming for this cat, I finally looked on the AH.
And there it was, a lvl 7 black tabby, for only 1,000 gold.
So of course I bought it :D
