I had done this tamer occasionally on my mains server since xpac released, yet no luck with the eye so I didn't think much of it. Tried today on my alt which is in the Warcraft Pets guild, and got it on my first try! Good luck to anyone hoping for one!
Hard decision... keep or sell?
After months of searching for a Rare and only finding Uncommons, today at 4:50 AM (server time on Doomhammer) I finally found and caught one!
I don't know if this is of any importance, but after having fought all the non rares that were up I was a bit frustrated and killed everything in the area, as far as the actual creatures. Ravagers and Flayers alike fell to my hunter's arrows. After having done that a new Flayer Youngling popped up and it was a Rare!
Good luck in your search, don't give up!
Does anyone know how pets are dodging my Nocturnal Strike when the weather is Darkness???
Nocturnal Strike specifically reads:
"Always hits if the target is blinded."
http://www.warcraftpets.com/abilities/flying/nocturnal-strike/
And Call Darkness reads:
"During Darkness, all pets are considered Blinded"
http://www.warcraftpets.com/abilities/humanoid/call-darkness/
The opposing pets were NOT Elemental types, therefore they should have been blinded by the weather...
Would someone plz help me understand the use of the ability Blistering Cold? It seems pretty useless for the tiny amount of dmg it does. I noticed it is a Frosty only ability so it should be a special ability... worst "special" ability I've ever seen.
The tooltip for the battle pet, Creepy Crate, ability Death Grip reads as follows:
"Deals x Undead damage and forces the opponent's lowest health pet to swap into battle"
- however I have found from playing wih it multiple times that it in fact does NOT force the oppoinent's lowest health pet to swap into battle, it is simply forcing a random pet into battle. I've watched as multiple times instead of it forcing the lowest health pet, it simply chooses which pet it wants willy nilly.
Caught a (Rare) Twilight Fiendling at 3:45 AM on Doomhammer. This was an epic tale, because I was rushing too it vs an Alliance character and I got there first AND then I went to make my first attack vs the Twilight Fiendling and my internet disconnected! I reconnected and the Twilight Fiendling was still there, clicked it and it was still the rare! Yay! I was so happy lol
I noticed there is one area in particular that seems to spawn the Cheetah Cub a lot. If you look for the troll, quest giver Kala'ma, the tree he is at seems to spawn them all the time. I sat around this tree killing other wild pets in the area and watched as that tree spawned 10+ Cheetah Cubs, including one rare that I caught. Good luck to any interested in catching this pet.
