killed everything that moved inside that stupid cave for about an hour and it never spawned. pretty sure the pet journal would say if it was a morning only pet, but i'll give it a go in the morning
Update: Came back 6:40 server time, and there were about eight hanging out there, so I'm not sure if that's a coincidence or not XD

Killed ogres around slaughter hollow until one showed up, accidently killed him so killed some more ogres and another showed up =)

Hahaha this was fun to get! Had a good time world pvping, but eventually I managed to steal one. I found that killing the adds and critters around the cave does help
