Just for the record, they can spawn as a secondary to a Fire Beetle. After reading that they couldn't, I just had a uncommon as second to a Fire Beetle.

Just caught a rare after 5, common and uncommon ones. They spawned 24 hours after server reset. Happy Hunting!

Yes, you can "upgrade" your account to CE at anytime. I have done it twice now. I already had BC and WotLK but wanted the pets. I bought the 2 CE's off eBay and called Blizz to add the new CE's keys for me, they did with no problem. Now to buy the first CE...$2,000.00 SIGH...
