Sorry, Harry Potter fans - it looks like you can't name your phoenix hatchling "Fawkes" because it violates the language filter!

Judging by how much it eats, I'm guessing this is the box that Arthas keeps Frostmourne in.

I think it's very cool that WarcraftPets.com is getting a promotion like this, but I'm not sure what the trading card folks are thinking with this pet. Right now it's the same exact pet as Lil' XT for the same exact price. Except at least with the pet store one, you get him for all of your toons. With this one you only get him on one.

I dunno, maybe it's just placeholder art and they'll update it with a new skin when the Worldbreaker set gets released. I hope so.

Lil' Rags is huge! I feed him a pet biscuit and he easily stands head and shoulders above my male night elf!

They showed Deathy in action during the WoW Art panel at BlizzCon. A couple of his idle animations have him breathing fire! LOTS of fire!

Blizzard has had extra special vanity pets that require real-world investments and work since the very beginning of the game, whether it be spending more money (and fighting other consumers) to get a collector's edition, or finding a way to attend Blizzcon. There are many great pets in the game that are impossible to get JUST by playing the game. This is just an extension of that idea, and thankfully it's one that is more accessible to the average player than, say, scoring Blizzcon tickets.

I too hope that this doesn't become too much of a trend, but I'll be willing to pony up ten bucks every now and then if the pets are always as high quality as this one. And donating to a good cause always helps!

Just don't expect us to pay up for yet another raptor hatchling or something, Blizz ;)
