Yesterday evening I have tried killing infernals, hoping that a Minfernal would spawn. Despite another player joining me and us getting instant respawns of the infernals, we didn't see a single Minfernal. We tried for about an hour and then decided that it was either bugged or that Blizzard made this pet very very rare.

I see Blizz is now condoning the exchange of real-world money for in-game gold... I love the pet, I just think making it tradeable is a bit hypocritical on their part - you can't sell gold directly, but do it via our store and it's all ok!

Ever since vanilla I wanted to have one of these.
Ever since vanilla it never ever dropped for me.
Ever since vanilla I haven't been able to find it cheap on AH.

But recently, I managed to pick one up for 'just' 6k in the AH.
Then the next day, while questing for goblin rep in Stranglethorn Vale, a crocolisk dropped another one.
The RNG hates me.

Finally got him today :) Fourth time I saw this little fellow drop after a total of 28 kills (according to the in-game statistics). First 2 times was on a regular run back in BC and I lost the roll both times. Third time was during WotLK and I went there with my girlfriend (who of course got the pet when it dropped :).
Easily soloable on normal as well as heroic for a lvl85 mage, even without any raid gear. Most trash can be skipped too.
