I renamed my Emperor Crab "Tank" because he just doesn't die. Surge negates the speed advantage and because of the crab's power score hits almost as hard as a regular attack. Renewing Mists is a constant and powerful heal that also heals other pets you swap in and Whirlpool is a nice way to double up a powerful strike with a regular strike during the same turn.

These comments are not encouraging :( I'm up to 700 kills (of Sprite Darters) and no pet. Based on what was said here I went and farmed Noxious Whelps and got my Emerald Whelpling in 103 kills. The info above says the Sprite Darter drops off of 40-50 level mobs. The Sprite Darters are 37. Can anyone confirm that they still drop off Sprite Darters or if they drop in 4.0.6 at all? I can handle poor RNG luck, but I have to know there's a point to what I'm doing.
