A good place for a high-level character to farm Ethereal Credits on Northrend is in southwest Sholazar Basin where there are opposing camps of Frenzyheart Wolvar and Oracle Murlocs. If you have gained reputation with one of those two factions then fight the other. The NPCs have fairly low health and strength (considering their high-70s levels), and drop small amounts of cash silver, scrolls, and potions. They respawn quickly in large numbers.

Re: Pandaren Monk
The Pandaren Monk is amazingly cute and has incredible animations: two fighting sequences, plus bows and stretches. If you /drink with him, he sits down to drink from his hip bottle. He'll remain sitting until you move quite a large distance away, at which point he runs to catch up. If you /bow to him he will bow back to you!

The May edition of the Darkmoon Faire was very kind to me -- I won a Darkmoon Eye! I was afraid I might never get that. Now I'm not sure to keep doing that battle or not (hoping for a duplicate); it's a pain.
